DIY Basic Dangle Earrings Tutorial

Wanna try making your own earrings, but are not sure where to start?  Here is a simple tutorial to help you know the materials you'll need to start creating your own designs!  It's also a great and fun way to spend time with family and friends for holidays and other get togethers!

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
-2 headpins (25mm - 30mm long)
-4 jump rings (4mm or 6mm)
-4 colored beads (4mm - 8mm)
-2 brass disks, pendant, or charm of your choice
-2 bronze or silver earring hooks

(You can pick all of these items up at your local craft store (Michaels, Hobby Lobby & Joanne's Fabric all have great beads and jewelry findings) or order supplies online at Etsy, Ebay and other sites).

Start by threading the headpin with your beads, you'll need to create a loop on each end of the headpin using pliers.  You'll need at least 8mm of wire on each end to create your loops.

You might need to adjust the loops so they're centered on the beads using pliers, (so it doesn't hang lopsided).

Then you connect the disk, pendant, or charm to the completed beaded headpin with a jump ring.

Then connect the completed headpin to your earring hook on the other end with a jump ring.

And you're done!  Simple as that  :)
